REAL olives

I am becoming enchanted by an odd fruit that I do not frequently enjoy – the olive. Now, I’m sure any olive connoisseur would happily tell me I’ve never had a real olive. I’m sure I haven’t. Mine come from ALDI, they’re dyed black, and have a not so subtle metallic flavor. I’m sure I haven’t had a real apple, or a real cup of coffee, or real possum stew either. My goal for this week is to eat a real olive without having to leave the country. Any help as to where I could procure such a novelty would be much appreciated.

  1. Oh, bro! Olives is where it’s at! Many grocery stores have olive bars. BILO has one, not sure if bloom does. It’s like a salad bar with vats of nice olives for purchase by weight. I’m rather partial to Kalamatas myself! enjoy.

  2. p.s. lemme know if ya get hold of any real possum stew! the stuff they call “possum stew” around here tastes like raccoon if you ask me.

  3. go to blooms- GREAT olive and antipasti- bar! btw- i know that this is kinda not american thinking, but im saying it anyways- the big green ones are the best- green olives taste much better anyways than the black… 😀
go get the real deal! 😉
